Looking for accessories… 🌍😍

Hello dear fellow travelers,

To kick off the year, I invite you to discover Isabelle, whose life and creations take us on a journey around the world. I'll then share my latest Parisian recommendations, before unveiling a new installment of Voyageuses that I haven't yet shared with you.

Portrait of a Voyageuse: Isa from Gabon, via Shanghai and then NY

Half-Italian, half-French, Isabelle grew up in Menton and began her career in Africa, first in Gabon and then in Cameroon. It was there, immersed in cultures where colors, patterns, and craftsmanship are omnipresent, that her creative imagination gradually took shape, remaining a passion nonetheless. After a stint in Paris, she settled in Shanghai with her family, where she became COO of a French advertising agency.

This immersion in such inspiring cultural worlds has constantly fueled her deep desire to create. In 2018, Isa decided to leave her job, bought a garment workshop in Shanghai, and launched Maison Germaine , a brand of bags and accessories. At the same time, I was embarking on the Voyageuses adventure: together, we discovered the joys—and the challenges—of entrepreneurship in China, supporting each other whenever possible!

In 2023, Isa moved with her family and Maison Germaine to New York. She shares her feelings and tips with us .

At Maison Germaine, we love mixing styles, whimsy, cultural fusion, and fine materials. Curious and an insatiable traveler, Isa conveys her love of colors and materials through her creations: zebra-print clutches, iridescent leathers, collectible multicolored bracelets… Each accessory brings a certain je ne sais quoi that makes all the difference.

Voyageuses' favorite is the stitched calfskin bracelet, available in 3 sizes, different colors, and several types of leather. A fan of these bracelets, I mix and match them with others as I please, and I'm delighted to feature them this month on the Voyageuses Paris e-shop .

Isa and NY:

"What I appreciate most about NYC is the climate, the diversity of the population, the city's architecture, Central Park which amazes me every day and allows me to recharge, to escape from the constant noise of the city. I like encounters with strangers who compliment you on your outfit or simply start a conversation. I also like this feeling of freedom in style."

My suggestions for the month

  • The Dragons exhibition at the Quai Branly Museum showcases its treasures from China: jade statues, embroidered cloaks, and other porcelain. An exhibition for adults, not really for children, even if its poster might suggest otherwise.

  • The new Patsy restaurant on rue Bergère in Paris for its innovative yet simple and delicious cuisine and outstanding service.

  • The Voyageuses sales continue this week!

News from Voyageuses

As you may know, my first profession is in communications, which I practiced for many years at Hermès, in Paris and then in Shanghai. I never really left it, continuing to work with beautiful fashion, lifestyle and decoration brands — such as Liaigre, Globe-Trotter, Naram or Gilles & Boissier — with which I share strong values, often linked to craftsmanship from France or elsewhere.

Today, I am also integrating this activity under the label Voyageuses Paris, through a section dedicated to consulting (whose dedicated page on the site is in progress!).

Among my recent projects, I conceived , notably for the cashmere brand Softheart , a dialogue between their new collection and the sculptures of the artist Emmanuelle Hoppenot de Guitaut, resulting in an exhibition presented last December in the Marais district. Here are some images (photos by Charlotte Bommelaer). ).

See you soon!
